Wilderness Wood Wilderness Wood is a family-run, working woodland in Hadlow Down, E Sussex. Visitors welcome to explore -Tuesday to Sunday. Suitable for all ages.

62 acres of woodland with paths and play areas; a forest school; woodland products; Christmas trees; cafe; camping; BBQs; workshops and stalls. A venue for birthday parties and weddings; an educational site for school groups, families, organisations. Open to the public Wednesdays – Sundays, and every day during the school holidays, from 9am – 5pm. Become a member of the wood and get more involved in life in the woods.

Thank you to everyone who has helped build our new bench over the past few weeks - it is now installed in the playground and looking fab!

We are open this weekend 10am to 4pm - no need to book for general admission.

Everything is looking wonderfully lush and green after the rain and we are looking forward to a few sunny days in the woods!

The wonderful Jennifer will be running a bird drawing workshop, so come along this Sunday to learn about woodland birds and how to draw them. Little woods trip to see and his amazing table creation today. Congratulations Stan - it is a thing of beauty!

Stan is woods alumni and has created a table that will be incredible for events and community gatherings - we hope to see it 'on tour' to the woods; do contact him if you have an event in mind where it would look amazing!

Great to spot other woods stars .booth.makes and in the 'making of' film, as well as another Kaitlin with a chainsaw!
