🌳 We're thrilled to welcome back Park Yoga Midsomer Norton this season.

📅 Sessions are an hour and start at 9.30am on 3rd May and run every Sunday morning for 20 weeks.

💚 If you have not experienced Park Yoga, it is a great way to try yoga for the first time. You don’t have to take part in the whole session, many people take moments of rest and enjoy the fresh air while watching the clouds go by.

💚 There's no need to book.

💚 Bring a yoga mat if you have one, but if you don’t, a towel or blanket is perfect.

Somer Valley Rediscovered Greenspaces: User Feedback Form!
Ober the last 3 years the Somer Valley Rediscovered project has been making various improvements to five greenspaces in the Somer Valley area. We want to understand the difference we’ve made to both the biodiversity of the sites and the benefits of these improvements for site users, so we can continue to improve these areas for the local community. Responses are anonymous and will be analysed independently by ERS Ltd., a local research company.

🌿 We Won! 🌿

Thrilled to share that the Somer Valley Rediscovered Greenspaces Project has won the B&NES Council Staff Award for Action on Climate and Nature!
This award recognises the incredible work of our team and partners in reimagining the Somer Valley as a thriving, biodiverse, and climate-resilient landscape. Once shaped by coal mining, the valley is now being transformed through nature recovery, community-led climate action, and sustainable land use.
Together, we’ve:
🌼 Restored 34 hectares of land
🌳 Planted native trees and wildflowers
🦔 Supported over 3,500 residents to connect with nature
🧠 Delivered 37 Green Social Prescribing courses
🛤️ Improved 1,100m of pathways for inclusive access
🌍 Built a model for long-term environmental stewardship
This is more than a project, it’s a movement. A huge thank you to our volunteers, local councils, community groups, and everyone who’s helped rediscover and reimagine the Somer Valley.
