👉Update on Wear Bridge Closure, Wolsingham👈
Durham County Council are anticipating the bridge will be closed on the 2nd March 2026 for eight days to complete the final works, however all of this is very weather dependant and they may need to change or alter the closure if required.

Were you in the Recreation Ground in Wolsingham this afternoon??
We have been informed that a child on a motorised quad bike has caused damage to the football field/recreation ground. He wasn't wearing a helmet, was with, we assume his father and were seen heading out of the car park and into Church Lane driving on the footpath. Tyre marks have also been seen in the Church field.
This is very irresponsible behaviour, especially with the current wet ground conditions, and it will be reported to the Police. Driving any motorised vehicle on the recreation is forbidden, unless specifically authorised by the Parish Council.
