Sport in Mind is a UK mental health charity that uses sport and physical activity to support recovery and improve the wellbeing of people experiencing mental health challenges.
They offer FREE weekly tennis 🎾 sessions in Basingstoke, open to adults of all abilities. Everyone is welcome, and all equipment is provided.

On a vineyard in Basingstoke! 🍷🩵

Following a request from The Manydown Rural Estate, Cllr Paul Miller, Cllr James Barker and Cllr Christina Jordan visited the Estate's office in Wooton St Lawrence.

We were given a history of the Estate, and told about all the challenges they face, the steps taken so far and their exciting plans for the future.

The Estate has been run by the family for over 100 years, and farming remains the core land use. In 2021, the vines were planted in what will be one of the first vineyards in the Basingstoke constituency. The first bottles will be available in 2028, and we can’t wait to try some!

Reform UK Basingstoke made clear during the Local Election 2026 campaign that supporting our farming community and small businesses was a top priority. We will continue to do everything we can to support the Estate and the many superb local businesses around town.

Reform UK Basingstoke & Deane are deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Ann Widdecombe.

Ann was a brilliant and formidable woman who devoted much of her life to public service. Cllr Christina Jordan had the privilege of campaigning alongside Ann during their time as Brexit Party MEPs for the South West, and will remember her with enormous affection and respect. Many of us also had the pleasure of meeting Ann in Makerfield just last month, with plans to visit the branch later this year.

Our thoughts and prayers are with Ann’s family, friends and all those who knew and loved her at this incredibly difficult time.

Nigel Farage has announced that he is stepping down as an MP to trigger a by-election in Clacton—a by-election he has vowed to fight and win.

Nigel has made it clear that the £5 million donated by Christopher Harborne was entirely unconditional and will be used to fund his security and protection. Since becoming an MP, Nigel has faced relentless abuse, serious attacks, and death threats. Yet, just days after the murder of Charlie Kirk, the government reportedly withdrew 70% of the protection it had initially provided.

Nigel says this by-election is about far more than one parliamentary seat. In his own words:
