Discover Wendover’s fascinating past during Heritage Open Days! 🏛️

Visit the Wendover Heritage Exhibition at Wendover Community Library from Friday 11 to Saturday 19 September. Explore pictures and information about some of the town’s most iconic historic buildings, including The Windmill, The Old Town House and The Old School.

Visit Wendover Community Library on Saturday 19 September for:

✍️ 10am–11am – Time Travel Poetry Workshop with Will Burns
🖨️ 11.30am–3pm – Drop-in letter pressing activity

The Wendover Clock Tower will also be open to visitors on Friday 18 and Saturday 19 September.

Discover Wendover’s history during Heritage Open Days this September! 🕰️

THE CLOCK TOWER OPEN DAY

Explore the iconic Wendover Clock Tower and learn more about its history and original features.

📅 Friday 18 September, 10am–2pm
📅 Saturday 19 September, 10am–2pm

On Saturday 19 September, we’re also working in partnership with Wendover Community Library, where you can enjoy:

✍️ Time Travel Poetry Workshop with Will Burns, 10am–11am
🖨️ Drop-in letterpress activity, 11.30am–3pm
🏛️ The Wendover Heritage Exhibition

Cracklewick Morris will also perform at the Local Produce Market on Saturday 19 September:

Buckinghamshire Council's Draft Local Plan will shape how our area develops over the coming years. Join us at this Public Information Meeting to learn more about the proposals, understand what they could mean for your community, hear your Parish Council's response and ask any questions you may have.

🌳🪻Wildflower Areas - Update

The wildflower areas in Council open spaces are being cut today, including the Community Orchard. Cutting these areas gives the ideal opportunity to conserve and enhance the wildflowers, as it mimics the pattern of traditional meadow management.

🍎Last year the orchard produced a lot of fruit, please remember to go and harvest some fruit this year, we'd love to know what you make with the fruit 🥧

❗️Some fruits are not to be eaten raw - look out for the orange tags on the trees which show fruit that should not be eaten raw. If you are in any doubt whether fruit is ripe and whether it can be eaten raw please contact the Parish Council.
