Hope everyone is behaving sensibly , it’s not a political issue it’s a health and well being issue, and no government anywhere ever has had to cope with it ..... it’s really not a hoax either , sadly.......moving on there are other issues , notably the proposal to build on green land around walshaw and Tottington, this is being rushed through under the cover of covid......get hold of your councillor and demand action, let’s be very clear this is being pushed through by our council, and it’s corrupt hierarchy and planning dept , who will no doubt be rewarded by the potential developers as usual.......Bury MBC has brownfield sites for over 1600 homes , already with a usable level of infrastructure but they seem hell bent on destroying this valued local amenity ..... a certain land developer has been buying these pockets of land speculatively for years but aren’t guaranteed the right to build , the local roads schools health centres etc do not have the ability to absorb the rise in population, never mind the environment.... Bury’s planning committee is a very lucrative committee to sit on do not let them get away with this, even our current MP Is against it , no word from Jimmy Bandwagon yet( but I do expect one of his fake petitions any minute) please mither your representative, let them know how you feel , call out the corrupt behaviour,call out the crass stupidity of this ...yes ,we need more housing , but we have better sites in the Borough , these will all be high value properties that do not do anything to help the neediest, we here are not NIMBY’s far from it but we will defend from this kind o behaviour.....go to it people whatever your political bias may be , and ask why our chief executive gets paid £189000 a year !!!!! When the leader of the country’s salary is only just higher 140000 population v 63 million , just think about that for a minute and put 2+2 together ,
