We will be holding our annual fun day to raise funds for our Christmas lights 🎄🎅🏼⭐️ on Saturday 18th July 2026 12 noon -6pm at the
Stonemason’s Arms, 365 Stockport Rd, Timperley, WA15 7UR.

Officers are on scene with other emergency services working together to ensure the safety of the public.

On a gloriously sunny day like today ☀️☀️☀️ it seems strange talking about Christmas lights🎄🎅🏼⭐️!!

🎄🎅🏼⭐️ Our Christmas light switch on is just 6 months away but lights will be going up in around 5 months or so and we really do need the help and generosity of local businesses and residents of Timperley ⭐️🎅🏼🎄

🎄🎅🏼⭐️ We want to add lamp post lights to the village this year too, adding on to what we have already from your generosity last year 🎄🎅🏼⭐️

🎄🎅🏼☀️These lights will be mounted on Trafford Council lamp posts, so will need to be erected by their registered contractors ⭐️🎅🏼🎄

We really do rely on the generosity of residents and local businesses to support us

Timperley Civic Society is delighted to announce that we have been awarded a £1,040
Manchester Airport Community Grant to support the installation of new railing planters in Timperley village. This funding will help us enhance the local streetscape with vibrant evergreen perennials interspersed with seasonal bedding plants bringing colour, biodiversity, and a welcoming feel to the heart of our community. The project forms part of our ongoing commitment to improving public spaces and fostering local pride

The successful grant application was led by two of the Society’s trustees Matt Sellars and Jayne Jenkins, whose dedication and hard work helped secure this valuable support.

We’re absolutely thrilled to have been awarded this grant. It’s a real boost for the village, and it means we can continue improving Timperley’s public spaces in a way that everyone can enjoy.

We’re grateful to Manchester Airport for recognising the value of what we’re trying to achieve. This funding will make such a positive difference. The new railing planters will bring colour and life to the village centre, and it’s wonderful to know that our community will benefit from this support. We’re really excited to get the project underway.
