We are very excited that Norfolk Wildlife Trust are putting on this FREE event right on our doorstep at Mundford Village Hall, this Friday 11th Sept at 1830.

This talk is the story of how a local group set up a couple of patrols to prevent the massive mortalities being seen, and how this developed into what has become an ongoing commitment to saving these wonderful animals. This talk will look to introduce the UK's amphibians, discuss what you can do to help, and tell the story of the West Norfolk Toad Patrol.

Had the great pleasure of giving a presentation to Silver Threads y'day, a weekly social group for over 65s in Thetford. We raised awareness of how toad populations are fairing across the UK and our efforts locally to conserve our very important population in Thetford Forest through toad patrol.

It was great to meet this fab group and have lots of interest in the room! 😃

What a fantastic day we had celebrating all things wild at Thetford Town Council 's Wild Thetford event.

Met so many people who were interested in our wildlife, whether in their back gardens or further afield. Thank you to everyone who came to chat to us, took a sticker and signed up to learn more about toad patrolling. ☺️🐸

We were very honoured to be invited to have a stand at the People's Emergency Briefing event at the BTO British Trust for Ornithology in Thetford last night.

Like minded people gathered together to view a a screening of this important film, highlighting the climate emergency that we are creating and how to respond to it.

Climate and nature breakdown will affect every constituency in the country, from health and food systems to infrastructure, security to economic stability. This crisis is more serious and immediate than many understand. There is strong evidence that bold, urgent action will improve lives and livelihoods, but the window of opportunity is narrowing as we delay.

It was a really important evening and we urge everyone to seek out a screening of the film and to write to your MP to ask for more action to be done before it's too late!

A 50-min film centred around the National Emergency Briefing. The frank facts, but also the huge opportunity if Government steps up and leads a WW2-scale response. Designed to be watched by communities together with their MP. Due for release 7th April.

The BTO British Trust for Ornithology is hosting a free screening of The People's Emergency Briefing at The Nunnery in Thetford on 16th July.

The 50-minute film explores the climate and nature crisis, with commentary from figures including Chris Packham, Deborah Meaden, Konnie Huq and Jennifer Saunders, followed by a public discussion.

Members of the toad patrol were delighted to join a workshop for community groups and nature enthusiasts to help create nature recovery resources for Norfolk.

This was to help create new guidance and tools that support communities to understand and use Norfolk’s Local Nature Recovery Strategy (LNRS).

Was fantastic to connect with other community groups and leaders from Norfolk!
