There was a rumour…….

That Doug wasn’t real?

On another group, there were whispers, comments, some said they knew him, others said they cant find him!

But, we’re here to say! Doug is real! He’s not in hiding, and, has spent the last few nights out and about in Dawley & Malinslee, getting to know the voters.

A huge thank you to Matt Goodwin, for coming to Shropshire last night, to a joint event between Wrekin Reform UK and ourselves. A big thank you to Andy at wrekin for sourcing the venue, and a huge thank you to everybody who attended.

We are two branches, but we share a common aim to run Telford and Wrekin council, going forward, you can expect many more joint events and initiatives, to make sure we are fully prepared in 2027.

Matt gave a fantastic talk, met our candidates, signed his book and captivated all who attended.

If you are interested in canvassing, joining, leafleting or becoming a councillor, drop us a message, and get involved.

Introducing your Reform Telford Candidate for Madeley Town council

Anthony Wakeman

Anthony Stated "When we're canvassing, residents keep raising the same issues. Unsafe town centre, fly-tipping, closed facilities, bus services that are unreliable and frustration that nothing changes, just endless conversations. I'm standing because residents deserve better than meetings where issues just drag on"

My priorities are simple:

🛡️ Safer streets - ASB needs tackling properly

🗑️ Cleaner streets - Proper enforcement

🚻 Open facilities - Toilets that work

🚌 Reliable buses - No more guessing if or when it turns up

🏘️ Hub clarity - lets get this hub sorted out!

Meet Douglas Halsall, a local lad, who has decided he wants to make a positive change.

“ For too long, Dawley and especially Malinslee have been overlooked, the last councillor showed up just twice in 11 months. How is that Representation? ”

Our community deserves better.

Douglas is stepping up, to be the voice of you, the people who want to see actions, not just endless debate! He will turn up, hear your concerns, walk the ward, and fight for our area.

Let’s bring real change to Telford with actions, not just promises. 🤝🇬🇧

Reform Telford is pleased to announce that Douglas Halsall is your candidate for Dawley Bank & Malinslee. A local Lad, he knows Telford, and the pressures its facing.

Douglas has stated “While Labour talks about tackling rogue landlords, and the swimming pool, they don’t seem to want to talk about Wrekin Housing Group, which is sitting on millions in surplus while families live with mould and broken heating, HMOs are quietly changing the character of our streets and anti social behaviour just gets talked about but not solved. I’m here to make a postive change for all residents”.

My priorities are,

🏚️ Looking into why WHG recorded millions in surplus last year — yet families in Malinslee are still living with mould and broken heating. We will hold WHG to account. NO more Profits vs Neglect.

🚯 Fly-tipping is treated as someone else’s problem — we say it’s everyone’s problem, and we will clean it up.

🚗 We will fix the potholes on our roads and work to make speeding on our streets a thing of the past.

😤 Anti-social behaviour in Dawley has been “discussed” for years — we will act, not just talk about it.

Lawley. Madeley. Door by door. Conversation by conversation.

Over the last couple of days we’ve been out leafleting and speaking to residents and hearing what really matters locally.

Not spin. Not soundbites. Just real people telling us about real issues on their streets.

Thank you to everyone who took the time to speak with us.

Tell us below: what’s the biggest issue where you live?

They said it couldn't be done, but here we are! 👊

Just one week ago, we stood right here at the junction of Hadley Road and Wombridge Hill to highlight a serious safety concern raised by residents. Despite being told it wasn't possible by the council, we pushed for a solution—and the results speak for themselves.

The kerb is dropped, the area is safe, and it’s a win for everyone in A huge thank you to Cllr Alan Adams, Cllr Jenny Urey, and the hardworking crew from Telford & Wrekin Council for making this happen so quickly.

When the community speaks, we listen, and then we get to work. 🛠️

A local resident raised concerns about overhanging branches on West Street in St. Georges, which were forcing pedestrians into a busy road.

While others talk about it, or pretend they have done it, we’re out here actually fixing it.

Telford deserves leaders who show up. No red tape, no excuses.

Actions not promises.

🚗 Community Action in Oakengates! 🚗

Nick Dunn from Reform UK Telford is on the scene at the junction of Wombridge Hill and Hadley Road in Oakengates. Following concerns from local residents about a dangerous junction, we’re calling for immediate action!

A simple fix could prevent serious accidents and improve safety for everyone. Despite the council’s claims that it’s not their responsibility. Efficiency and safety should go hand-in-hand.

Watch the video to learn more and see how we’re fighting for our community.
