🌟 A busy and wonderful time out in our community! 🌟

Over the past few weeks, the Mayor has been proud to represent our town at a number of fantastic local events, including Electric Summer in Vivary Park and the Emergency Services Day Flag Raising Ceremony. These occasions were a wonderful opportunity to celebrate the community spirit that brings us together and recognise the dedication and commitment of our emergency services.

Meanwhile, the Deputy Mayor has been out and about meeting residents and supporting local organisations, attending the Taunton Chamber of Commerce and Frethey House care home Community Garden Party and joining the celebrations for the Grand Opening of The Farmers Arms pub at West Hatch. 🌿🥂

It is always a pleasure to meet the people, businesses, volunteers and community groups who help make our town such a vibrant and welcoming place to live, work and visit.

Taunton Town Council and Somerset Council are raising the Emergency Services Day Flag at County Hall, Taunton, in recognition of the dedication and service of emergency services personnel.

The ceremony is hosted by the Chair of Somerset Council, Councillor Mike Best, and the Mayor of Taunton, Councillor Bev Fernandes, ahead of National Emergency Services Day on 9 September.
