The weather is improving, so the restoration of the railway wagon (under cover but not heated) can resume soon.

Colne Valley Railway, Castle Hedingham, Essex

Join us for our annual diesel gala on Sunday the 16th of October which for the first time will feature our resident inter-city 125. Our Hunslet shunter HE6975 will also be making her first appearance on an operating day along with our class 03 D2184 and DMU. Unlimited rides and the usual Colne Valley Railway attractions available.

We haven't been able to have the ride-on miniature railway in the park for some time now, but here's a model railway that will be in the Goods Shed on Easter weekend. It looks fabulous.

Colne Valley Railway NEWS -
New immersive museum building, funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund opens to the public.

The official opening took place yesterday of our new Brewster Interpretation Centre, with the ceremony being performed by the Deputy Lord Lieutenant of Essex, Mr Nigel Spencer MBE.

The centre will be open to the public on all our remaining operating days this year
