This Thursday. Come along and see what we’re about 😊

Hello again folks...

Over the last few months it’s been a real privilege meeting people across Audley, hearing your stories, your concerns and your ideas. One thing that genuinely stood out was the thought and care people put into their responses. It wasn’t just ticking boxes. People took time to tell us what they value about where they live and what they’d like to see improved.

Although I wasn’t elected, receiving 304 votes was something I’m incredibly proud of. More than anything, those votes came from conversations on doorsteps and people putting their trust in us. For a first campaign, that support meant a lot.

But I don’t think this should be where things end.

The election has been and gone, but the issues people raised are still there and I’d really like to keep building on what has started. We’re looking at ways we can continue bringing people together, whether that’s through becoming involved with The Potteries Party or helping create an Audley community group where local people can help shape ideas and priorities for the area.

To start that next chapter, I’d love for you to join us at our AGM and Community Survey Feedback Event:

Thursday 28th May
7:30pm – 9:00pm
Audley Football Club
Refreshments available

We’ll be sharing the survey findings and feeding back what residents told us. After that we’ll move into our AGM, which is really just an opportunity to see what The Potteries Party is about, hear what we’ve been working on and see whether you’d like to stay involved.

No pressure and no sales pitch. Just people getting together and continuing a conversation that started on the doorstep.

I hope to see you there.

Best wishes,

Tom & The Potteries Party

p.s please reply if you are popping along

Over the last few weeks I’ve had the privilege of speaking to residents across Audley Ward and reading through the responses to our community survey.

And honestly, I’ve been humbled by what people shared.

When we added together the length of time the 98 respondents have lived in Audley Ward, it came to an incredible 2,697 years combined, with the average resident living here for around 30 years.

That tells you everything you need to know about this place.

People don’t just live here. They build their lives here. Raise families here. Stay here. Audley Ward is home, and people care deeply about its future.

The message from the survey has been clear:
• Fix roads and pavements properly
• Protect our green spaces
• Improve community safety
• Support young people
• Improve transport and accessibility

None of this changes overnight. But these are real priorities, shaped directly by the people who know our communities best.

One thing that’s inspired me most is the passion of local people. I’ve met residents who genuinely want to make a difference and care deeply about where they live.

And this is one of my main points... Politics should not just happen to local communities - communities should shape local politics.

If elected, I’ll continue to listen and actively seek the ideas and opinions of our communities. The survey will continue, and I’ll work every day to be a conduit for local voices, making sure residents are properly heard, represented and never ignored.

Thank you to everybody who took the time to speak to us ❤️

And finally, good luck to all of the other candidates standing in Audley Ward. Democracy works best when people are prepared to put themselves forward and represent their communities.

I’ll see you at the count 👍

Well Folks at the start of this campaign we said we'd listen to the residents first and take our priorities directly from the people that live here. I'm pleased to say the response has been phenomenal and we've been able to really dig deep into the issues and concerns that residents here in Audley feel.

Over the next few days as we head towards election day we'll continue to push the survey and listen on the doorstep.

Please take the survey if you haven't already and encourage friends, family and neighbours to do the same.

Every voice really does matter.

With days to go we won't be stopping but I'd just like to take this moment to thank everyone for their contributions and for the warm reception we've received on the doorstep. I'd also like to thank the The Potteries Party team who have worked wonders on this campaign and put their time and effort into getting this survey out.

We really have tried to do something different and if elected this is only the start.

Thanks again to everyone that has contributed their time and energy into the campaign. It was you that have made this such a pleasure to be a part of.

See you on the doorstep

Hi folks,
I’ve been out and about a lot over the last few weeks, knocking on doors and chatting to people across Audley.
Just wanted to say thank you to everyone who’s stopped for a chat - I’ve had some really good conversations.
We’ve also had a great response to the community survey. I’ve been going through the answers and there’s some really honest feedback in there. It’s good to see what people are proud of locally, but also what’s not working for them day to day.
That’s the whole point of this - listening properly and taking that forward.
If you haven’t filled it in yet, you still can here:

I’ll start sharing some of the results over the next couple of days.
Thanks again to everyone who’s taken the time.

A massive thank you to everyone that's completing the survey. It's both humbling and exciting to read everyone's thoughts, opinions and ideas. (And there's no swearing 😁)

I'm reporting issues from the survey and looking into people's opinions.. We'll continue going door to door with leaflets and will be posting some of the findings soon.

Help me listen to more of our community and work out the priorities by sharing the survey
