Items of interest from countries people have come from?
Here is the main part of the message below:
We would love to hear about any objects, spaces, or shared items within your community that:
• Hold cultural, historical, or emotional significance
• Play an important role in bringing people together
• May now be in need of repair, restoration, or care
This could be anything from a well-used communal item to something brought from a country of origin, or an object that represents a shared journey, identity, or sense of belonging.
Read on for full letter:
Please see below from the casting producer of The Repair Shop. If you know anyone interested, please contact him directly: [email protected]
I hope you’re well. My name is Ayrton and I’m a Producer working on The Repair Shop On The Road for the BBC. As part of the series, our expert team travels across the UK helping to restore items that hold deep meaning for people and communities.
I’m currently reaching out to organisations supporting refugees, asylum seekers and displaced communities, as we’re keen to connect with communities whose stories and heritage might not always be widely seen or heard.

We approach all stories with great care and sensitivity, and at this stage we’re simply looking to have an initial conversation to learn more, there is absolutely no obligation to take part.
If anything comes to mind, or if there’s someone within your organisation or community who it would be best for me to speak with, I would be very grateful if you could point me in the right direction.

A relief that the Charity Commission has found no evidence whatsoever for the false allegations on an MP that schools of sanctuary were involved in political activities.
Our work locally and nationally with Schools of Sanctuary continues, and get in touch if you are a school interested in finding out more.

The Charity Commission has closed its compliance case into City of Sanctuary UK, finding no evidence of wrongdoing.

The Cleveland Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner is wanting your views to help them to understand the needs of victim/ survivors of crime from under-represented groups who may not engage with traditional organisations or services. If you are a member of an underrepresented community e.g. disabled, deaf, of colour, we would really appreciate it if you can take 2-3 minutes to complete the questions below to help us to know how our local police support can be improved based on your experience.
