🐣🐦 We Need Your Help – Baby Bird Season Is in Full Swing 🐦🐣

Our wildlife hospital is currently overflowing with orphaned and injured baby birds, many arrived during the recent heatwave. Every day brings more admissions, and our dedicated team is working around the clock to ensure every youngster receives the care and nutrition they need.

At the moment, we are using over £100 worth of live insects each day to feed the birds in our care. The demand is so high that we are placing orders for fresh insects almost daily as our admissions figures continue to rise.

If you would like to support us during one of our busiest times of the year, we would be incredibly grateful. 💚

🐛 Live food items are available on our Amazon Wishlist and can be sent directly to us.

We also have £10 Amazon gift cards on our Wishlist, which allow us to purchase exactly what is needed when supplies run low.

Every tub of insects, every gift card, and every donation helps us keep hundreds of hungry beaks fed and gives these vulnerable young birds the best possible chance of returning to the wild.

Thank you to everyone who continues to support the British Wildlife Rescue Centre. We simply couldn't do this without you.

🌿🐦 A Heartfelt Thank You to and Peak Health Food Ltd 🐦🌿

We would like to extend our sincere thanks to Viridian nutrition for their generous donation of £250!

We are also incredibly grateful to Peak Health Food Rugeley for nominating us to receive this donation through Viridian's community support initiative.

The donation has been used to purchase live waxworms, which are helping us feed nests of orphaned baby birds currently in our care.

Support from businesses and members of the community makes a real difference to the wildlife we rescue and rehabilitate every day. Your generosity is helping us provide essential care to some of our most vulnerable patients.

From everyone at the British Wildlife Rescue Centre, Thank you.

Did you know you can provide regular support for the wildlife in our care by making a monthly or quarterly donation? We appreciate all forms of support, but regular donations are particularly crucial to the work we do here as they allow us to plan ahead and make preparations for future admissions.

Because we don't receive any goverment funding, we rely solely on the generosity of volunteers and the wildlife-lovers who kindly choose to donate. Set up a regular donation by visiting https://donate.kindlink.com/the-british-wildlife-rescue-centre-/1501 and selecting 'monthly' or 'quarterly' instead of 'one-off' when you make your donation. Thank you for your support! ❤️‍🩹

A huge thank you to everyone who came along and supported yesterday’s Plant & Cake Sale for the British Wildlife Rescue Centre! 🌿🧁

We are delighted to announce that together we raised an amazing £1815!

A special thank you goes to all of our wonderful volunteers who grew plants, baked cakes and manned the stalls throughout the day. We truly have a fantastic team and we could not do it without you.

We still have plants available for sale at the hospital, so do pop by if you would like to pick one up.

After such a successful day, we are excited to say that we’ll definitely be making this an annual event!

Imagine if just by treating yourself to a new plant and a slice of cake, you could also feed an orphaned baby bird, or help look after an injured owl 💭 You can do exactly that at our Plant & Bake sale TODAY at Weston Village Hall, 12-3pm. All proceeds from the event go towards the vital work our volunteers do to rehabilitate wildlife here at our rescue centre. See you there! 🪴🐾

Who is coming along to our Plant & Bake sale tomorrow?✋ Every plant you buy or sweet treat you eat will mean you're helping us help our native wildlife! It's our busiest time of the year, with so many injured or orphaned baby birds, ducklings, wild rabbits, owls and other widlife to take care of, so the funds raised from this event will be very much appreciated. 💚 If you're planning to come along - thank you in advance! See you at Weston Village Hall from 12-3pm🪴🍪

A huge thank you to Wellington Field Allotments for their incredible generosity!

After holding their own charity plant sale, they kindly donated many of their leftover plants to both us and a local nursing home — meaning one plant sale has gone on to support the community in three different ways 🌱

We’re so grateful for their support, and we’ll now be selling these donated plants alongside many more at our Plant Sale this Saturday, May 16th, at Weston Village Hall from 12–3pm.

There’ll also be cakes, a tombola, and plenty more to enjoy — we’d love to see you there!
