Hilcote Valley Railway - A journey through nature.

Chris and I head off on our Holidays for 2 weeks today. But don't worry folks, we're still open from 11am until 4pm every day during the School Holidays. Whilst we're gone, John will be your driver for the next fortnight. Please pop in and say hello, he'd love to see you all.
Don't forget folks, during Term Time the railway only opens at weekends. So make the most of our daily running before the Holidays end.

Thursday 13th August…. Due to the extreme heat the railway is now closed for the day. Posted 14:30hrs.

MET OFFICE WEATHER WARNING.

The alert is in effect from 13 Aug, 09:00 BST.
Following a warm night, a spell of very hot weather will affect England on Thursday. The highest temperatures will be in parts of the east, southeast and the Midlands, where 37 or even 38 Celsius could be reached. This may lead to impacts on transport, infrastructure and health.

The railway plans to open at 11am on 13th August as normal but please watch our page for any updates. Obviously the heat WILL have an impact on us during the extreme temperature rise during the course of the day. Should we close early because of the heat then a message will be posted here.

Hello you lovely people. Don't forget, we open tomorrow, Saturday 18th July and every day (weather permitting) for the whole of the School Holidays. Snacks, Drinks and Ice Cream as well as gifts are available from the railway shop. Cash or Card accepted. Last ride of the day is 15:50hrs. Only £2.50 per rider (2 and under ride FREE)
