Our Norwood councillors have received reports from residents about the emerging sinkhole on Roe Lane. We have reported it as a matter of urgency with Sefton Council. It must be repaired as soon as possible before any serious accidents occur.

There has been a traveller encampment on the Carr Lane sports field over the last week, but it has now been cleared with minimal trouble.

Councillor Mike Ryder would like to give many thanks to some of the residents and the Sefton Council staff who went above and beyond to remove the human waste left by the travellers in hedgerows close to their illegal encampment and cleaned the site very quickly. Thank you as well to everyone for the very prompt reporting so the process was not delayed.

We are disgusted at how the travellers treated the public park. If Reform gains a majority in Sefton Council, we will push for stricter enforcement against any travellers illegally camping on council property.

The park is now back to normal and the bollards are back in place to prevent the travellers from returning.

Almost one month after the election, our newly elected councillors are already working hard for residents on a variety of cases across Birkdale and Norwood.

Mike Morris Mbe joined Reform, taking a significant personal risk by leaving the Conservatives.

Although Mike was unsuccessful in the Cambridge Ward election, he has asked us to pass on his sincere thanks to all the residents of Cambridge Ward for their support over the years.

Mike has dedicated the last 8 years to serving his community with commitment and passion. While this chapter now comes to an end, we wanted to wish him well-earned rest and all the very best for the future.

Mike Morris Mbe had the immense privilege of laying a wreath at the Cenotaph today.

He, along with all of us at Southport Reform, would like to wish you all well this Remembrance Sunday, whether you are remembering friends, family, or those throughout our communities.

Today is a day of sadness for many, but also one of immense pride.
