Hi All

The Town Council has been informed that we had made the decision to not put flags up for the World Cup. I was asked by an employee of the Town Council if we would be putting flags up for each of the countries who are taking part in the World Cup as the employee was asked by a member of the public. We currently have 25 brackets but only have approximately 10 flag poles as they keep breaking due to extreme weather and constant weathering. As there are 48 teams in the World Cup we quickly came to conclusion that we couldn't advertise all nations so basically felt the idea didn't have any legs as it wasn't fair to have some and not others. Can I just state this wasn't an official request therefore it didn't go to the Full Town Council Meeting as it was a discussion between an employee of the Town Council and a member of the public. Obviously, to fulfil this need cost would be a factor; at no point were we informed this would be paid for. Further to that; I've now been informed that residents wanted bunting running across the Market Place and High Street advertising each nation. This however can not be achieved as it would cause complications for the fire service based next door to the Town Council (we have considered this before). To confirm though, this is all irrelevant as nothing has been sent in writing from the named individual to confirm this request. I therefore request that residents who have complained about the Town Council understand that we follow routines and procedures and you should make requests in writing via the website, email, telephone or in person so we can log all the details correctly

Kind Regards

Town Clerk

Hi All

The Town Council will be producing a calendar for the new year and wanted the communities input. After covering expenses all other money will be given to a charity chosen by the Town Mayor. After putting a Facebook post out previously we have had images sent in. We have been asking members of the community to provide feedback when they came into the Town Council office and many are in favour of the following images. Can you reply with your top 3, and by all means, submit any new images of the community of Snaith and Cowick.

Kind Regards

COMMUNITY GYM FACILITY

Attached is the Snaith and Cowick Outdoor Gym Facility Community Consultation Document 2026. Please have a read of the overview of the project and complete the questionnaire by;

1. Printing it off, completing it and posting it through the letter box at the Town Council Offices
2. Complete it electronically and send it to the email stated in the overview.
3. Visit the Town Council Office and request a paper copy to complete

If we gain the response required this could potentially provide the need required to gain the grant funding to produce a facility for the people of Snaith & Cowick.

I'm a little late to the party.... Who's joining us????
Radio 1 DJ Greg James will be passing through Snaith later today on his Comic Relief quest. The office will be closed between 12.45 and 1.15pm as we will be out there cheering Greg on.... We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.

"Alone we can do so little: together we can do so much" - Helen Keller.

Our street technician collected 103 bags of dog waste bags this morning, which had been abandoned around the public right of way, at the top of Punton Walk near the playing fields.

Do we feel this was value for money? ...... or should pet owners responsibily discard their doggie doo's?
