Thames Water have been allowed to add another £3 billion to their existing £19 billion of debt.

They've run up this bill by paying out huge amounts to bosses and shareholders instead of investing in our water infrastructure.

It's time for water to be run for people, not profit.

I sent this to our MP today

Dear Matt,

I was disappointed to read that you had voted against the amendment to the Environment Bill which would prevent water companies discharging raw/ semi treated sewage into our rivers.
You represent a coastal constituency which stands to suffer disproportionately when sewage is discharged. We have benefited from the 10th Earl of Scarbrough's decision in 1882 and again in 1932, with the construction of the new sewage works at Middlemarsh, not to allow sewage outfalls in Skegness and district.
You know about the work we do in cleaning the local beaches, which are affected by rubbish left by beach users and that washed in on the tide.This voluntary work will be negated if sewage is soon to be washed up on our beaches.
