We have had a roar some time this week at Steps, learning all about some amazing big cats - Lions, Leopards and Cheetahs! 🦁🐆 The children have enjoyed a variety of sensory, interactive and creative activities designed to support their learning through play.

We have shared the wonderful Dear Zoo story together, got very creative making the most majestic lions and spotty leopards, explored through sand to find the baby lions, cheetahs and leopards. The children even dressed up ready for safari with their binoculars and hats!!

Our activities were all adapted and differentiated to meet the individual needs of our children, helping them to build confidence and explore at their own pace.

This week at Steps, we have been spreading our wings and learning all about our " Feathered Friends" at the farm.🦆🐔🐥🪿

The children have discovered the wonderful world of birds on the farm, from quacking ducks to chirping chicks through singing , story telling and hands on activities involving sensory play with water and bird seed, soft feathers and the occasional cuddly duck .

The activities have been carefully adapted and differentiated to support each child's individual needs and learning styles to ensure each child can engage in their own way-whether through sensory exploration, movement or creative expression.

We have had a moo-velous week at Steps learning all about Cows 🐮!!

The children have been bravely trying out new sounds, lots of giggles milking the cows,getting muddy on the farm and cow week wouldn’t be complete without some very messy milk painting !

It’s been so heart warming watching the children’s bright eyes, big smiles and confidence grow in the smallest of steps, reminding us that learning can be playful, meaningful and full of love 💕

We’ve had a pig-tastic week here at Steps! 🐷.

The children have fully embraced our Pig Theme this week. We have read fun farm stories, made the cutest pink muddy pigs, engaged in muddy sensory play, and created beautiful curly pig tails! There were plenty of oinks and lots of smiles and laughter.

We were delighted to welcome Richard, Community Lead for the Ashby 20, to Steps Conductive Education Centre this week as he presented us with an incredible donation of £800 💙

We have had a wonderful week at the farm! Everyone loved the chance to cuddle some of the animals, especially the adorable newborn lambs!
We also enjoyed a tractor ride and had a great time exploring the farm park. A fantastic week full of smiles, fresh air, and plenty of giggles with our little superstars!
