We are delighted at today's decision from the Regulator of Social Housing.
It has removed the notice relating to gas safety issued against our Housing Service back in January 2023.

It has confirmed it is satisfied the issues which led to the notice have now been resolved.

This follows a long period of hard work in which we have closely engaged with and worked alongside the Regulator. We had referred ourselves to them in October 2022.

We’re pleased to share some good news about how we’re doing. Treating tenants fairly and with respect remains our strongest area. This year, we’ve improved again.

In 2025–26, 82% of tenants said they feel they are treated fairly and with respect. This is a 1% increase from last year. We are pleased to see this progress. It shows the hard work of our teams to listen and respond, and to provide a respectful service.

We know it is important for every tenant to feel valued. We will continue to build on this and make further improvements. Over the next year, we will focus on making every contact with us a positive experience.

Thank you to our staff for their hard work and commitment. We also thank all tenants who shared their views. Your feedback helps us improve our services.

Together, we will keep working to make things better.

Have your say on housing services
Are you a council housing tenant? We want to hear from you!
We’ve launched a short survey about how we set our performance targets — and your feedback will help shape how we improve services.
Why your voice matters
We use targets to track things like:

• Repairs
• Safety checks
• Complaints

These targets help us improve. But we want to make sure we’re focusing on what matters most to you.
What we want to know
We’re asking for your views on:

• How we set our targets
• What we should focus on
• How we can make things clearer and fairer

It only takes a few minutes!
Your feedback will help us set better targets for 2026–2027 and improve services for all tenants.
Take the survey here: https://haveyoursay.sheffield.gov.uk/performance-survey?utm_content=&utm_medium=email&utm_name=&utm_source=govdelivery&utm_term=
Thank you for helping us make a difference

Feeling safe at home matters

We’re happy to share some positive news.

Between April 2025 and March 2026, 78% of tenants told us they feel their home is safe. That’s a 3% increase from last year, and it means we met our target.

We know there’s always more to do, and we’re committed to improving even further. Next year, we’ll set our target higher to keep pushing in the right direction.

Our teams continue to carry out safety checks, repairs, and improvements to help make homes safer and more comfortable for everyone.

You can find out more about our Tenant Satisfaction Measures (TSMs) http://bit.ly/4ePkWXA

Thank you to all tenants who shared their feedback — it really helps us improve
