Scotstoun Community Council

Scotstoun Community Council Scotstoun Community Council seeks to create a better Scotstoun for all.

It is a voluntary organisation set up by statute by the Local Authority & run by local residents who care about the community and want to make it a better place to live, work & play. Monthly meetings are usually held in the evening of the last Thursday of the month but there is no meeting in July nor December. Meetings are open to all residents but if you have an issue to raise it would be much appreciated if you could lodge it beforehand or, at the very latest, at the start of the meeting.

Unplug your v**e when it’s fully charged to reduce the risk of fire.

Rechargeable v**es contain batteries which can overheat when left charging for too long - and that means fire risk. Tonight. In your bedroom, your kitchen, or any room in your home.

Don’t charge when you’re sleeping.

We are reminding the public that the illegal use of quad bikes and off-road motorcycles can put riders, pedestrians, and other road users at serious risk.

Quad bikes and dirt bikes must only be used where permitted and in accordance with the law. Riding on public roads without the appropriate licence, insurance, registration, or safety equipment is an offence. The use of these vehicles in parks, footpaths, green spaces, and other areas where they are prohibited can also cause danger, nuisance, and damage to local communities.

If you witness the illegal use of quad bikes or dirt bikes, please report it to Police Scotland. Information provided by the public helps us identify offenders and keep our communities safe.

For non-emergencies, contact Police Scotland on 101. In an emergency, or if there is an immediate risk to public safety, always call 999.
