Scotstoun Community Council

Scotstoun Community Council Scotstoun Community Council seeks to create a better Scotstoun for all.

It is a voluntary organisation set up by statute by the Local Authority & run by local residents who care about the community and want to make it a better place to live, work & play. Monthly meetings are usually held in the evening of the last Thursday of the month but there is no meeting in July nor December. Meetings are open to all residents but if you have an issue to raise it would be much appreciated if you could lodge it beforehand or, at the very latest, at the start of the meeting.

From 1 July, if you board a ScotRail train without a valid ticket you will be charged a £10 minimum fare. But don’t worry, there are exclusions.

For example, if you’ve always bought Kids For A Quid tickets on board you can continue to do that. And if you buy a concession ticket using your National Entitlement Card, you’ll pay the same price as before, and you won’t be charged the new fare.

Check out this link for all the exclusions to see if you qualify: https://www.scotrail.co.uk/tickets/buy-before-you-board

Help us shape our strategy for Palliative Care and Care Around Dying in Greater Glasgow and Clyde.

Across Greater Glasgow and Clyde, we have been working with local Health & Social Care Partnerships ( HSCPs), Hospices and people with lived experience to coproduce a draft Strategy for Palliative Care and Care Around Dying.

We would like to hear from you around the five priorities we have identified with help from all of our partners:

- Priority 1: Early identification and person-centred care planning of palliative care needs
- Priority 2: Equitable, coordinated, responsive care across all settings
- Priority 3: Enhance access to information, digital inclusion and community empowerment around palliative care
- Priority 4: Ensure accessible and compassionate bereavement support for all
- Priority 5: Supported, skilled and resilient workforce

The survey is open for a short time and closes Friday 5th June - https://link.webropolsurveys.com/Participation/Public/2fb38bdc-49ab-45d8-96ec-a4a1c9b3f40e?displayId=Uni3670429
