Oriel y Parc Visitor Centre for the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park.

Oriel y Parc Landscape Gallery and Visitor Centre is managed by the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park Authority in partnership with Amgueddfa Cymru – National Museum Wales, who manage the Class A gallery. The ever changing exhibitions reflect the Pembrokeshire landscape and how it has influenced world renowned artists such as Graham Sutherland. Guided walks, talks and a host of other activities

are available at Oriel y Parc every week, such as bat walks, food foraging, and other activities for all the family. Facilities:

☀Beginning with a talk about The Hidden World of Moths, 10am – 11am £5 per person. Booking essential.
☀Our courtyard will have Butterflies and Blooms Clay Workshop with artist Elly Morgan, 11am – 3pm £4 per person, drop in.
☀Ranger Richard will be promoting the work of the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park and have fun kids activities.
☀Test your knowledge with our Wildflower and Wildlife Spotting stand.
☀Storytelling with Lifeforms Art between 10am and 3pm.
☀Meadow Creations are here to help advise and create your own wildflower patch.
☀Get stuck in and hold the stick insects with the Bug Farm.
☀Join in the Wildflower Wander around Caerfai and St Nons with our expert Ranger, 1pm – 3pm £8 per person. Booking essential.

Join us for an engaging talk exploring the fascinating world of moths.
Our National Park conservation officer Clare will introduce a range of moth species, offering insights into their behaviour, ecology, and the important roles they play in our natural environment.
*Moth trapping is not harmful or cruel. It simply involves attracting moths to a light source so you can take a closer look at them before safely releasing.

The Pembrokeshire Coast by Dafydd Wyn Richards
Friday 22 May – Sunday 28 June
This series of work brings together an exclusive set of new oil paintings depicting the Pembrokeshire coast and countryside. Dafydd is a landscape painter who grew up near St. Davids. Growing up by the sea has been inspirational in shaping his style and subject choice.
Working primarily with palette knives, the pieces inspire depth and a strong sense of place, resulting in a unique visual representation of the sea and surrounding rural space, which are constantly in flux.

£8 per person. Booking essential.
Join our Ranger Libby on a leisurely walk and talk to Caerfai and along the Coast Path to St Non’s. Uncover the wildflowers found in the hedgerows and along the coast and discover the local/Welsh names for plants, as well as their historical uses. There will also be the opportunity to look at digital methods of identification through Seek by iNaturalist and talk about the ways we can all support important ecosystems.
Walk distance: 2.5 miles
Level: Moderate to Easy
