Today we took a visit to a local school to talk everything birds of prey 💁🏻‍♂️🦅🦉🪶

Unfortunately, it can be a little tricky to get school photographs. But we took Blue, Nala, Atlas, and the mini man Tyson. All of whom did amazing as expected

Biased, but what a great way to finish a school week 👌🏻

🦅 Moulting Season 🪶

Like Widget here, who we brought out for a quick health check and to clean his aviary. Many birds of prey are currently going through their annual moult, a completely natural process where old feathers are replaced with new ones. This is essential for maintaining healthy plumage and ensuring they can continue to fly efficiently.

During this period, we often, where possible, reduce workloads and allow our birds plenty of time to rest and focus their energy on growing strong, fresh feathers. Their welfare will always come first, so you may notice some of our team enjoying a little extra downtime over the coming weeks.

Don't worry though – they're still being closely monitored and spoilt! ☀️🦅

So if any of our birds are not on our displays, or not being shown on our social media platforms. They are still here, they are just having a well earned break!

Back to Widget, he only has 1 more tail feather to grow down and then he should be back out with us again 💁🏻‍♂️🦅🪶

With Tyson happily flying around the house. The week has come to where we are thinking its time to put some 'boots' (anklets) onto the little man...The next step for when we are imprinting owls.

Tyson is already proving to be such a little legend. He's already done his first display in front of a very large crowd, and has been part of so many experiences. Excuse the pun, but he is flying through all of his training steps!
