International Women's Day - Violence against women in lockdown

Monday 8th March 6.00 - 7.00PM

To mark International Women's Day on the 8th March, the Warwick District Liberal Democrats are hosting a ZOOM session that considers how lockdown has impacted on domestic abuse against women.

The panel will discuss the key issues surrounding violence against women from different perspectives, with an opportunity to ask questions at the end.

The panel includes:

Jaime Richards has been the Development & Funding Officer for Coventry Haven Women's Aid since 2016. The organisation provides a range of support to women and their children. Jamie is a proud survivor of domestic abuse, who was first introduced to Coventry Haven through her own experiences.

Nicola Davies is a councillor and member of Warwickshire Police and Crime Panel. In these roles she has taken a close interest in support provided to women affected by domestic violence, and the way in which this is investigated by Warwickshire Police.

Dr Holly Taylor Dunn works as a Senior Lecturer at the University of Worcester Centre of Violence Prevention. Her work focuses on improving the way victims of violence and abuse are treated by services. Prior to that Holly worked as a Domestic Abuse Officer and for a Women's Aid organisation managing community-based services.
