🧠💙 World Alzheimer’s Month

September is World Alzheimer’s Month — a time to raise awareness, challenge the stigma surrounding dementia, and stand alongside people living with dementia, their families and those who care for them.

This year’s campaign highlights the importance of early diagnosis. Recognising changes and seeking advice sooner can help people access information, treatment, care and support, while giving individuals and families more opportunity to understand what comes next.

For someone living with dementia, the right support is about so much more than completing everyday tasks. It’s about recognising the person behind the diagnosis — respecting their choices, maintaining familiar routines, encouraging independence and helping them continue doing the things that matter to them.

Throughout September, let’s keep talking about dementia, increase understanding and help create communities where people affected by dementia feel valued, respected and supported. 💙
