⭐️Welcome back to the start of the new academic year! ⭐️

We are incredibly excited for the year ahead and delighted to share another fantastic programme of professional development with webinars, face-to-face events and conferences delivered by experienced practitioners, leading educationalists, poets and authors. ✏️🎤📚

All courses and events are fully funded by the DfE, meaning they are completely FREE for schools to attend! ✨

This academic year, we are excited to extend our support into KS2, KS3 and Early Years, alongside our ongoing work with KS1.

📋A self-referral leads to a supportive and collaborative literacy audit, helping to identify strengths and priorities and agree areas for development.

Following the audit, some schools may be invited to become Partner Schools, receiving ongoing specialist support, funding opportunities and high-quality professional development. 📚

We know that being able to read matters. But choosing to read and developing a genuine love of reading matters enormously too.

Research highlighted by the National Literacy Trust has found that children and young people who enjoy reading are three times more likely to read above the expected level for their age than those who don’t enjoy reading.

And the benefits reach far beyond attainment. Reading for pleasure is associated with stronger vocabulary and comprehension, greater wellbeing, empathy and confidence, and can make a significant difference to children’s future outcomes.

So how do we move from teaching children to read to creating a school where reading is genuinely loved, valued and part of the culture? 💙📖
