Councillor Gareth Roberts will continue as Leader of Richmond Council, supported by Deputy Leaders Cllr Jim Millard and Cllr Alexander Ehmann.

Cllr Roberts said: "Richmond upon Thames remains one of the best places in the country to live, work and raise a family – and we are determined to keep it that way.”

After last Thursday's historic result, Council Leader Gareth Roberts shares his first message to residents across the whole borough.

54 seats. A real mandate. And a clear commitment: to govern for every single resident of Richmond upon Thames, whether they voted for us or not.

Over the next four years, the council will focus on four priorities:
1. Standing up for residents.
2. Tackling the cost of living.
3. Leading on climate.
4. Keeping the borough's finances on track in the face of £30 million a year in government funding cuts.

We've been making Richmond safer, cleaner, fairer and greener for eight years. This is the next chapter.
