🚨 Nigel Farage has said that Reform-run councils could stop housing migrants who arrive in Britain under government resettlement schemes.

The Reform leader said his party would “look very hard at leaving” the programmes, which provided accommodation for thousands of asylum seekers!

WINNERS 🚨 Massive thanks to everyone in Wickford, Wickford North, Wickford Park, and Castledon & Crouch who came out and voted Reform UK.

Look at the numbers. We didn't just compete in these seats. We blew past the Conservatives and made Reform UK the proper alternative round here.

🗳️ Wickford North
Reform UK: 2,106 votes (45%)

🗳️ Castledon & Crouch
Reform UK: 2,329 votes (50%)

🗳️ Wickford Park
Reform UK: 1,640 votes (45%)

This wasn't a protest vote. People knew exactly what they were doing.

They're sick of being ignored. Sick of watching things slowly fall apart while nobody does anything about it. Sick of the same lot in charge telling them everything's fine.

They voted for someone who'll actually listen and get on with the job.

To the volunteers, the candidates, the supporters, and every single person who turned out, thank you. Genuinely. This is only the start.

What we've built here gives us a real platform heading into the 2029 General Election. We'll keep growing, keep organising, and keep fighting for the area.

Labour leader Gavin Callaghan and Reform UK leader Sam Journet were just feet away for around 10 minutes, watching votes being counted. The pair have had a heated rivalry for around a year or so, with clashes on social media.

Reform UK expects to topple Labour's current hold of the council. Mr Journet told the Local Democracy Reporting Service that his party could well win all 14 seats tonight.

Mr Callaghan and Labour have refused to speak to any media so far this evening.
