We’re incredibly lucky to have the beautiful Northamptonshire countryside and so many fantastic green spaces right on our doorstep. Today is all about celebrating and protecting the local environment we call home.

The funeral service celebrating the life of Paul Byrne will be on Wednesday 10th June 2026 at 10:00am ⛪ St Peter’s Church, Church Street, Raunds, NN9 6JB

👔Dress Code: Please wear what makes you comfortable. Royal Blue was Paul’s favourite colour, and you are welcome to wear a touch of blue in his honour should you wish to do so.

📍 Location: Bassfords Recreation Ground, Marshalls Road, Raunds, NN9 6EY
🆓Entry: FREE for everyone!

🚗 Free Parking: Use the Millfield Car Park NN9 6HD (follow the signs!).
🚫Road Closure: Marshalls Road will be closed from 8:00am to 8:00pm (from The Delves junction to Raunds Lodge Nursing Home).
🐕 Pets: Dogs are welcome but must be kept on leads.
🧒Kids' Races: Don't forget to sign up for the Sack Race, Egg & Spoon, and Tug of War at the Welfare Tent before 3:00pm!

🍔 FOOD, DRINK & CRAFTS
• Variety: Over 40 stalls featuring Indian street food, Jamaican sauces, burgers, ice creams, milkshakes, and a licensed bar.
• Crafts: Browse everything from 3D-printed dragons and handmade jewellery to local honey and wire sculptures.
• Cash/Cards: While many stalls take cards, it's always handy to have some cash for the smaller games and tombolas!

🚧 ROAD CLOSURE
To keep everyone safe during the event at Bassfords Recreation Ground, Marshalls Road will be closed from 08:00 to 20:00. From the junction with Poplars Close to the junction with The Delves.

🚗 FREE PARKING
Don't worry about finding a spot! Free parking is available at Millfield (NN9 6HD).
Directions: From London Road, turn into Marshalls Road, then left into Twyford Avenue. Follow the road around to the car park entrance. Please note the car park will close promptly at 6:00 PM.

♿ DISABLED PARKING
Limited disabled parking for Blue Badge holders is located on the road directly in front of Bassfords Recreation Ground.
