Time is running out to share your views.

Our survey on the future of Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service closes this Sunday.

We’re currently developing our next Community Risk Management Plan (CRMP), the five-year plan that guides how we keep people across Lancashire safe. At this stage, there are no proposed changes; we’re simply asking communities what matters most to them.

Your feedback will help shape how our services are delivered in the years ahead, and we’re keen to hear from as many people as possible before the survey closes.

Take part in our short survey here:
www.smartsurvey.co.uk/s/LFRS26

Closes 5pm Sunday 15 March 2026

Your response will help guide how we protect and support communities over the next five years.

We’re planning for the future of our services and your views matter.

Our Community Risk Management Plan is a five-year plan that outlines how we will help keep people in Lancashire safe. To shape our next plan, we’re inviting residents, businesses and communities to tell us what’s most important to them.

Your feedback will help guide how our services are delivered in the years ahead, with a further, more detailed consultation planned later in 2026.

Please think before you park!

We stand with Preston City Council in urging everyone to leave enough space β€” at least two car widths β€” for emergency vehicles and bin wagons.

Blocked streets can delay bin collections, and they can slow down emergency services when every second counts.

Let’s all do our part and leave enough space!

Preston City Council has partnered with Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service (Official) to remind residents about parking considerately. πŸš˜πŸš’πŸš˜

Larger vehicles such as fire engines and bin wagons need more space to safely access streets.

In 2024, waste collection crews reported over 900 events of parked cars blocking access to bins. πŸ’©

Now imagine these reports were from a fire engine heading to an emergency call out. 😬 Parking incorrectly wastes vital rescue time and can result in severe consequences.

So next time, think before you park and leave at least two car widths for emergency vehicles, thank you!
