Hay-on-Wye Fire Station will soon be installing a Public Access Bleed Kit inside the existing Defib Box.

You’re warmly invited to attend a First Aid/Bleed Control Training Session at Hay-on-Wye Fire Station on Monday 16th March at 18:30.

Gain essential, life‑saving skills using realistic training mannequins, including how to control severe bleeding, apply a tourniquet, and even try your hand at CPR.

Everyone is welcome to take part and learn how to make a difference in an emergency.

The crew from Hay-on-Wye were called out this morning to rescue a dog which had fallen down an embankment and wasn't able to get back to the path. The team of water first responders from Hay alongside colleagues from Talgarth worked successfully to rescue Danny the dog and reunited him with his owners. A great ending to a boxing day rescue!
