Absolutely delighted to be able to donate £1010 to the Trevethin and Penygarn Community Center out of the portion of the Pontypool Community Council Voluntary Funding allocated to me.

The money will be used to create a private space within the facility where Trevethin residents can access advice/therapy/counselling in a welcoming...safe...non-judgemental environment.

The health... prosperity and wellbeing of people in our community is my top priority as a community councillor and I'd like to thank Denise and the other trustees at the Trevethin and Penygarn Community Center for all their hard work and dedication in pushing forward the necessary renovations to this building.

Without these amazing volunteers...these vital community services would simply not exist... I cannot thank you all enough for the hours of unpaid work you put in to making our community a better place.

So very happy to be able to donate £495 to the After The Bell Club from the portion of the Pontypool Community Council Voluntary Funding allocated to me.

The amazing volunteers at this club provide a safe... welcoming space for children and families to come together after school finishes... a hot meal and a place for community connection.

Was lovely to sit and hear about the different generations from families who use this facility and value it so greatly as a vital community resource.

Thank you again to the team at After The Bell for giving hours of your time over to help and support children and their families.

You are PHENOMENAL! ❤️ Xx

So many thanks to Deb.. Mike and Jan from Bron Afon for working with myself and Stuart Keyte in setting up the RUBBISH AMNESTY DAY in Trevethin. You guys have been TRULY AMAZING.

Also... The biggest shout out of the day goes to the Bron Afon estates team who loaded 3 FULL SKIPS as well as 6 FULL VAN LOADS of rubbish from the gardens of residents in Trevethin... Thank you so much... You guys are AWESOME!!!!

Finally thank you to all the residents who took advantage of the free of charge skips today... you made the day a huge success....and made Trevethin a cleaner...more pleasant place to be.

This is just the beginning of making Trevethin a litter and flytipping free zone.... VOTE REFORM... GET ACTION!!!! 💪 😊 🩵 ###

Reform Senedd member Laura Anne Jones will be joining me at my monthly councillor surgery to be held at Cold Barn Farm between 12 midday and 2pm on Friday 5th December.

I think this will be the first time that ANY Senedd member has come to Trevethin and held a surgery for our residents.

Please take full advantage of this unique opportunity to ask a Senedd member questions or raise concerns about the things that really concern you or impact your lives and the lives of your family, friends and community.

The people of Trevethin deserve to have their voices heard and their opinions considered at the top level of government in Wales...

Now's your chance... see you on Friday! ❤️Xx

Warm Space Hubs in Mid Torfaen

As energy bills rise and many households feel the pressure, Torfaen has set up a network of Warm Space Hubs across the borough. These are welcoming places where anyone can come to stay warm, chat, enjoy a hot drink (and sometimes a meal), and access advice and support.

These hubs are more than just a warm room. They help reduce isolation, provide a safe space during cold spells, and connect people to further support if needed. For full listings, times, and what each hub offers contact Torfaen Council.

Huge thank you to Councillor Stuart Keyte, Nick and Kevin for joining me on the 3rd Trevethin Trash Attack yesterday. This month's Trash Attack was arranged last minute so I didn't have time to inform our usual volunteers or those interested in getting involved. Even with just the 4 of us however, we managed to clear from our streets:

14 full red bags of rubbish off the ground

Various pieces and sizes of wood

Various pieces and sizes of plastic

A large plastic container

We also manged to report a flytip that had appeared at the entrance to Lasgarn Lane.

Due to our regular Trash Attack events, Trevethin has so much less litter on its streets. Please help us keep it that way by reporting any instances of flytipping or littering.

If anyone has any information regarding any instances of flytipping, please contact either myself or Torfaen Borough Council and please try to encourage others to take their rubbish home with them or find a public bin to place it into.

Also, if any Trevethin residents would like to join us on our Trash Attack events, please message me here.

Together we can keep Trevethin clean and litter free! 😊❤️Xx
