As many of you know a few years ago we secured funding, with the help of our then local counsellor Dr Pamela Buchan, to improve the area we all know as Ernesettle Creek. Below is a works notice of the first stage of major works happening next week.

We had a good day path clearing yesterday, joined by Plymouth Sound National Marine Park and the post 16 group from Mill Ford School.

We concentrated on the pathway leading from the headland path to the stone bridge that has been mentioned by walkers as being overgrown.

We can’t cut back too much and it had to be done by hand due to bird nesting season and to minimise any disturbance, whilst also keeping their habitat dense enough to continue protecting them.

Big thanks to all the volunteers and collaborators in assisting with these works

Save the Date for our amazing FESTIVAL!

We have our planning meeting this Friday morning at 11am on Zoom - open to anyone wanting to help make this year's festival even better! It is the community which makes it so special.
If you want to apply to have a stand or do an activity at the Festival please get in contact.

We are starting to arrange our apple pressing days when we go 'ON TOUR' to visit community orchards and events. This is limited to capacity / funding.

We are also working closely with JarSquad with their new project Harvest Hands to help us train up people to harvest and make the most of the abundance that might go to waste!

We had a good day path clearing yesterday and were joined by Plymouth Sound National Marine Park. We concentrated efforts on the pathway between the woodland and Lookout 1.

Following clearing borders, cleaning pathways from winter debris and some litter picking we stopped for some much needed refreshments (kindly restocked by Sarah).

After a final cleanup we left the section ready and accessible for all to enjoy.

If you’re interested in helping us on a scheduled Wednesday activity do drop us a message!

Thank you to Patrick, John, Richard and Luke πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘
