Forestry England has been looking after 1,500 of the nation’s forests for over 100 years… and we learnt a thing or two along the way! We can’t think of anything better than sharing this knowledge with future generations 👉 forestryeng.land/learning-and-play

Hello all. Unfortunately the local farmer who has sheep on his land next to Cann woods had another one killed a few weeks ago. You may have seen my notices on site. Some of them seem to have been removed so I am sorry if someone has taken offence, however having to deal with the distressing task of putting an animal out of its misery and the damage dogs can do to stock is why the notice is graphic. Please be aware that we are coming up to the most sensitive time for sheep disturbance. It is such a shame that it reflects badly on all of us who own dogs, so please feel free to point this information out to others. Thanks. Tim.

Hi all. The high winds that came in last night have caused a few trees to fall and some will also be leaning. Please avoid walking or cycling under these and please feel free to report any in to us as you come across them. We will be out over the next few days inspecting the trails prior to any clearance works so thanks in advance for your patience. We will try and get things tidied up as soon as we can. Thanks. Tim.
