Over the weekend we hosted our first weekend school as a region, with comrades coming from the Welsh valleys to the beaches of Cornwall. We’ve all came away strengthened in the ideas Lenin spent his entire life fighting for, there is no better way to spend the centenary since his passing than that!

We raised £1,500 for the fighting fund, on top of covering the £2,000 necessary for running the event. This is crucial for funding revolutionary activities, such as our recent interventions in Port Talbot, where 3,000 are facing job cuts. 81 tickets were sold, and 9 sessions were hosted over the 2 days. We’ve got no doubt next years regional will be even better as the crisis of capitalism worsens, and more reach revolutionary conclusions.

Today may be the King’s Coronation but that didn’t stop 7 comrades and 1 supporter taking to the streets to demand the abolition of the monarchy, and all power to the working class!

Unsurprisingly in a time of deep crisis for the capitalist system we were warmly received by the public with lots of socialist republicans making themselves known to us.

This week, Roman has been reading Trotsky’s Writings on Britain. It gives incredible analysis on political situation in the UK in the 20th century. A lot of his writings are very relatable to modern times. As was said before, without having revolutionary theory, we won't be able to change this world. I strongly recommend this book as there many lessons to learn for all of us especially in the light of explosion of class struggles in the world.

Today we’ll be meeting at 1pm at the Poly Café to discuss the war in Ukraine, followed by our regular stall on Falmouth High Street at 2pm.

Last Saturday we had amazing discussions with people at our stall on the current strike wave, and our upcoming discussion on the Women’s struggle!
