Ogmore Valley First Responders This was a group of volunteers in the valley, responsible to trained by, the Welsh Ambulance Service.

As there are no active members now, I just maintain defibrillators

Information only.
As far as I am aware, there are no active Community First Responders in this Valley now (I am unable to respond after my stroke unfortunately)
I am still the registered Guardian of the Public Defibrillators in the Valley (apart from Ogmore Rugby Club and the Planka ones) and check them every month, and have replaced batteries and the pads from the OVCFR account as needed. However, we only have Β£ 17.77 left in there now and pads cost Β£80 each.
The Comunity Council have agreed to contribute Β£200.00 per year (Thank you!) but I am not sure that it will cover everything. I am going to continue with this anyway, maybe put a couple of collection pots in shops?
I am going to cancel the website to save money too.
Regards, Bernie Mills

We have a Public Access Defibrillator available to place somewhere between Blackmill and Nantymoel.
Any suggestions where we can put it?
(Keep the suggestions sensible please! πŸ˜„)

*Useful information for those interested. Some people have Zero alcohol in their life, some have the occasional social drink, binge drink or some people are sadly dependant on alcohol daily.

*Either one of these reasons can get out of hand...where you may find yourself/others who have suffered alchohol poisoning...Be alchohol safe and make yourself aware of what you can do to help, if needed...

"Quoted from Maesteg First Responders page"
We also agree...This is disgusting. Jon is a HART paramedic, our regional CFR trainer and volunteers for the Coastguard as well as being a busy Dad and husband! Obviously most of the above cannot be carried out while Jon is recovering. Abuse will not be tolerated in the ambulance service. Please share to raise awareness.

Sending you a speedy recovery Jon 😊

General rule is "Blue to the sky, Orange to the thigh" but some pens are manufactured with different colours. Some pens also take only 3 seconds instead of 10. The instructions will be printed on the side of the pen.
