This is a 1979 Jaguar XJ S2 engine in for a full restoration, with duel SU HS6 carburettors this produced a 160bhp when new. Throughout the next couple of months we will be aiming to increase the power output by installing larger valves and higher compression pistons as well as a port and polish.

This is a 1988 Volvo B230 engine, this engine is out of our Volvo 760 for a complete refurbish and 'where possible' efficiency improvement, our goal is to make use of the large cylinder bore and small stroke design which results in less internal stress. With that being taken into account this engine is capable of operating at high RPM for long periods of time without any accelerated wear that would occur in a engine with a larger stroke.

One main issue that comes with more power is heat, all piping that runs close to any heat source has been covered and protected, the choice to use a thin 0W-20 oil has been chosen to help disperse the heat from the bearings and assist the oil cooler through convection much more efficiently.
A crankshaft scraper has been installed to reduce oil drag on the crankshaft that can occur at high RPM and free any power related to such drag, we decided to send the cylinder head away for a skim and a port and polish of the inlet manifold and combustion chamber.

ARP head studs and threads were installed to give a much more uniform and higher tolerable clamping force, but The decision to use a standard head gasket was made to retain the original compression ratio as the boost pressure was to be increased, with this being the case the risk of detonation was lessened because of the large thickness of the standard head gasket.

The crankshaft that was used was a ZRP crankshaft that is manufactured from aerospace grade 4340 solid billet steel, weighing in at 18kg This crankshaft is fully balanced to 1gr.cm /- 0.1 and offering four times the amount of strength of that of a standard iron crankshaft, with the crankshaft up rated it seemed only fair to install a set of H beam con rods to deal with the extra load that comes from the high boost and continuous high RPM.

This engine is expected to see a respectable 320bhp at 20psi of boost, the limiting factor in this build is with the turbo charger being within the period of the cars original date of manufacture, with a modern higher flowing turbo a final power of 500bhp could be achieved quite easily.

As a personal note this is the most detailed and thought out engine build i have ever worked on, and will surely set the benchmark for future modification builds to come.

This is our beautiful Rover P4 95, registered in 1964 this model was the last to roll of the production line with the P4 name.

The 95 was equipped with the long serving ' Inlet Over Exhaust ' engine, at 2.6 litres enabling it to produce a 102 Bhp and a top speed of ironically 95 mph, this was at the top of its class and able to hold its own on the road with minimal effort.

The 95 came with many upmarket features such as, front mounted servo assisted disc brakes, rear 'su***de' doors and a 4 speed gearbox well known for its smoothness and straight cut first gear.

The interior had no quality spared for its generous space and plumptious leather seats, putting you at high seating position and treating the driver to a spoiled view of the road.

This particular rover P4 came to us having traveled a little over 80 thousand miles and a non original colour scheme which was the decision of the the previous owner, we installed a new clutch and two new front tyres with ultimately a good engine service.

Introducing The 1965 Rover P5 3.0 Litre Engine, A unique side exhaust design and its undersquare nature resulted in a low max RPM of just 5000. A reliable and Efficient design saw the production of this engine from 1948 until 1980.

This is our fully restored 1988 Volvo 760 turbo, with a full body respray including the bumpers, in the original metallic grey paint.

With the engine fully refurbished and improved with the ZRP billet crankshaft, forged rods and a sierra cosworth T3 turbo all working in union. This setup running at 17psi of boost is expected to run at 320bhp whilst still maintaining the typical smooth Volvo operation and effortless driving around town.

The interiors beautiful condition complements the robustness and quality that Volvo offered with its motors, often being accompanied by mod cons such as cruise control, heated seats and electric sun roof as standard. The headlining board has been reupholstered in a smooth black suede to add to the comfortable feel of the interior.
