Our partners Nottingham Recovery Network are marking recovery month this September, reminding us all that every recovery journey is different.

🌟Every recovery journey matters.🌟

They're sharing daily mantras across their social media channels, collected from people in their community, including clients, staff, families and carers. Simple reminders of the strength that recovery takes!

They’ve also published a new blog about what recovery means to people, why lived experience matters, and how they support people in ways that work for the individual.

💙 Some deliveries are extra special...

When these six beautiful Community Quilt panels arrived from Ann and friends at their local British Sign Language group in Maltby, they genuinely stopped us in our tracks.

Each panel has been lovingly created to reflect the experiences of people who are deaf or living with hearing loss, using powerful symbols, colours and messages to raise awareness and celebrate communication in all its forms.

Ann shared:

"We are a British Sign Language group of both deaf and hearing people who attend BSL lessons at our local library in Maltby, near Rotherham. With 1 in every 3 adults experiencing some form of hearing loss, we felt that some of our panels should reflect symbols relating to this subject within the community. We have really enjoyed this project."

Opening this package brought smiles across the Framework team. We were touched by the care, creativity and personal meaning stitched into every panel.

Thank you Ann and everyone at the Maltby BSL group for helping us tell the story of our communities, one stitch at a time. 🧵💙

Meet James 🧡

James is a Support Worker at Framework with a passion for helping others. Next February, he'll be entering the sweeping sands of Morocco as he takes on a 5-day trek across the Sahara Desert with Discover Adventure 🏜️🐪

As a Support Worker, James sees firsthand the impact homelessness has on people’s lives. He also sees the difference that the right support can make. That’s why he’s taking on this challenge for Framework - to end homelessness and provide people with the support they need to rebuild their futures 🏡

The trek will be difficult, but not as difficult as the challenges that people facing homelessness experience every day. Each new test that James faces will be a new reminder of why he's doing this.

🫶You can support James' journey by donating to his page at https://dasaharatrekfeb27.enthuse.com/pf/james-mcfetridge

🏝️Or if you're feeling inspired to take on the challenge yourself, you can sign up for a departure at https://www.frameworkha.org/support-us/fundraising/events/sahara-desert-trek/

🐶This World Dog Day we're celebrating the bond between people and their pets 🐶

For someone experiencing homelessness, a dog can be so much more than a pet. They can be a best friend, a source of comfort and sometimes the only constant in their life.

We believe no one should have to choose between a safe place to call home and their best friend.

💜 Meet Evie! 💜

A huge thank you to Evie for sharing a photo of her beautiful Community Quilt panel.

One of my favourite things about this project has been seeing families getting involved together, and Evie and her mum Becca have both created their own panels for the quilt.

I absolutely LOVE hearing about these family crafting sessions and seeing the creativity, care and love that's going into every stitch.

Thank you, Evie and Becca, for being part of the Framework Community Quilt. We can't wait to see your panels become part of the finished masterpiece! 🧵✨

A roof is the beginning, not the end. 🏚️

We welcome the Government’s ambition to offer everyone sleeping rough a route off the streets by Christmas.

But getting people indoors is just the first step.

Many people sleeping rough need more than a safe place to stay. They may need support with their health, mental health, substance use and other challenges.

To end rough sleeping, we need housing and support to work together, with the investment and resources to make lasting change possible.

That’s what Framework works towards every day.

A safe home. The right support. A chance to rebuild.

Add your name below if you agree this is the change we need to end homelessness.

⚽💙 A brilliant day of football turned into £5,500 of support for five charities!

The Campbell Clinic's Charity World Cup brought together local teams, families and friends and helped raise £5,500 for five charities, including £1,100 for Framework Charity!

That £1,100 will support our Give the Gift of Purpose appeal which is enough to help fund a whole month of meaningful activities for the people we support! 👉Read more about our Give the Gift of Purpose appeal here: https://online.flippingbook.com/view/260665319/

A huge thank you to everyone who played, fundraised and donated, and to The Campbell Clinic for making it all happen! 🌟💙
