BREAKING NEWS: Conservatives HOLD the Christleton & Huntington by-election - Cllr Stephen Mosley elected.

We are delighted to welcome Stephen to our team as the new Conservative councillor for the Christleton & Huntington Ward of Cheshire West and Chester Council.

Stephen set out a positive vision and plan of action during the campaign and will work hard on behalf of residents right across every village and parish of the ward. He succeeds our colleague and friend, the late Stuart Parker MBE - a man who took all of his responsibilities seriously and worked hard with diligent commitment to everyone he represented over the years. Strong Conservative representation for residents of this ward is now back in place!

THANK YOU to everyone who took the time to vote Conservative and supported Stephen. We look forward to working alongside him in the months ahead, particularly as we focus on setting out our vision for how a Conservative-led Council after May 2027 will make a difference to your lives.

Kemi is absolutely right. We should all be treated equally under the law and live in a society where your skin colour is no more relevant than the colour of your hair.

They are no longer the Labour Party, they are the Welfare Party. It doesn’t matter who is in charge of these people, the party for Benefits Street will tax us all into poverty to pay for more welfare.

Pat McFadden has said in private what he and the Prime Minister deny in public. As I’ve said repeatedly, Labour MPs don’t understand where money comes from. They think our taxes are their money to spend, rather than the result of the hard work of the people in our country who deserve so much better.

The Conservative party is the only party holding Labour to account, as Reform, Lib Dems the SNP and others join Labour in demanding the state pay more and more benefits.

CWaC is OPPOSED to the Peak Cluster project. Last night, cross-party, we came together to show our support for the campaign in opposition to this project which is not right for Cheshire and is causing massive concern in our communities. Local councillors from the Conservatives, Greens, Labour and Independents united – we had hoped every ‘party label’ would be present, sadly not. But our position is clear.

Greenbank School

Many may be aware that CWAC have announced that funding which enabled the school to provide a residential program as they, CWAC, consider the provision to be care rather than educational. A position that the school contests. I have been in contact with the school’s Head and CWAC’s Director of Education and wrote to the responsible Cabinet member on the 7th May seeking clarification of CWAC’s definition of “Education” as I would contend that it is not purely academic. As of today, I’m sorry to say that I’ve not received either an acknowledgment or reply to my message. I will continue to press the school’s position that their offering is educational insofar as it helps students in their learning of important basic skills which will support their future Independence.

Conservatives have been working hard to develop a sound, alternative, plan for Government.

Leave the ECHR and repeal the Human Rights Act to secure Britain’s borders.

Scrap green levies and ideological net zero targets to deliver cheaper energy.

Hire 10,000 more police and increase stop and search to make our streets safe.

Restore the two child benefit cap, and face-to-face PIP assessments to get Britain working.

Increase defence spending by £50 billion, using savings made to the welfare budget to defend our country.

Scrap the 3% interest added to Plan 2 student loans and get under 16s off social media to help young people.

That’s what the Conservatives under Kemi Badenoch's leadership would do.
