85 Years ago, from 10th July till 31st October 1940, the Battle of Britain engulfed our Skies. Valiant Airmen and brave Groundcrew fought to secure the air from the N**i Peril. September 1940 saw the heaviest losses as the N**i's increased their efforts. British, Polish, Czech, and commonwealth Pilots flew daily to combat wave after wave of N**i Bombers and Fighter Aircraft.

In this month we celebrate the British Victory and remember those who gave the ultimate sacrifice for our Country. The King's Colour Squadron is honoured to take part in ceremonies across the capital.

The King’s Colour Squadron was honoured to take part in the VE 80th commemoration parade. It was a poignant moment to remember those who made the ultimate sacrifice 80 years ago, while offering a chance to celebrate the surviving veterans.

After some much deserved Post Operational Deployment Leave the Squadron is back ensuring they are prepared for the upcoming ceremonial season. This includes the Tower of London (13-20 June), RIAT (18-20 July), King’s Guard at the London Palaces (1-15 September), and Battle of Britain 85th commemorations (21 September). This is, as ever, balanced against our enduring Force Protection duties and deployments.
