Looking to deepen your aviation knowledge and take your flying further? ✈️

The Air League’s Groundschool Scholarships, sponsored by the BALPA Benevolent Fund, support pilots who want to strengthen their theoretical understanding and continue their aviation journey. The scholarship provides a fully funded ATPL (A) Groundschool Theory Course with Bristol Groundschool, with all associated ATPL examinations included. Scholars also benefit from revision weeks and limited accommodation during exam periods, allowing them to focus fully on their studies.

Applicants must hold a Private Pilot Licence (PPL) and demonstrate a clear commitment to progressing their pilot training. They must also be eligible to obtain a UK Class 1 Medical Certificate and be a member of at the time of application.

Applications close on 31 May 2026. This is an excellent opportunity to expand your aviation knowledge and access high‑quality groundschool training.
