Message from Northern Powergrid

Hi, it's Northern Powergrid, we know there's a power cut in your area. Delivering a 10/10 service is important to us, and we're working to get the power back on by 5:00 PM, however please allow 30 minutes before or after this time. If it takes longer, we'll let you know. You can track this power cut online and access extra advice and support at northernpowergrid.com/power-cuts-map or call 105 to speak to our team. Further text updates will follow.

Power cuts can happen at any time. Check real-time updates and keep updated on our progress in getting your power back on.

Garden Waste Collections 🪏

Spring is the perfect time to get your garden in shape! North Tyneside’s garden waste collection service runs from March to November, with 18 collections for just £35 a year.

If you’ve already signed up, your sticker and collection calendar will arrive soon — and there’s still time to join.

We recommend signing up by 20 February to ensure you receive all 18 collections and that your sticker arrives before collections start.

Over the next couple of weeks, a series of footpath improvements are scheduled, replacing & relaying footpaths, some will be upgraded to “flags & flex” style (this is half flags stones, half ‘tarmac’) this is where vehicles are causing damage to flags and will give the best long term repair.
