👉 An URGENT invitation to join Insulate Britain (IB):
💥 This is what we have achieved:-
563 arrests - over the course of 11 actions.
A national conversation created by just 120 people!
When people are engaged over a protest, public debate about the issue of the protest begins. IB has been the focus of press attention for weeks now. That would never have been possible without disruptive action.
The BBC environmental correspondent Roger Harrabin tweeted:
“Thanks. has recently caused more comments about Britain’s appalling housing stock than I managed in 35 years reporting. Is their protest disproportionate?” We believe it is proportionate. "
💥 Why we need you:-
The world needs to see the UK government being forced to take immediate, concrete action to reduce emissions through dramatic, nonviolent confrontation.
If it does not take emergency action, it is breaking its own laws requiring commitment to the Paris Agreement, and as you know, the scientists have declared ‘Code Red for Humanity’, which means no future for our children!
There is no carbon budget left and our ecological systems are in free fall!
We have a responsibility beyond words to our young people and to those on the front lines in the Global South, to do whatever it nonviolently takes, to stop this madness!
History has shown how to create legislative change by dramatic, outrageous, nonviolent confrontation’ so we must continue to do this in the run up to COP26.
The government must get on with the job and Insulate Britain!
💥 Why recruitment?
“Whenever the Legislators endeavour to take away, and destroy the Property of the People, or to reduce them to Slavery under Arbitrary Power, they put themselves into a state of War with the People, who are thereupon absolved from any farther Obedience” John Locke
We are recruiting in the context of the fundamentally terrifying reality of extinction and:-
we have to make rapid progress!
Otherwise, the window of saving ourselves and all future generations is going to close in the next three to four years.
As we have been communicating in our talks, this time will NOT come again.
We have to do whatever it nonviolently takes and we cannot afford to lose.
This is not rhetoric - it is the brutal truth.
🤔🤔 You may say:
“ I agree with your message/demand, but why aren’t you preventing ordinary people from going about their business? Aren’t you turning away people from your cause?
No successful protest movement has ever succeeded without disrupting the general public.
When people aren’t disrupted, it’s very likely that they never even hear of a protest.
When people ARE disrupted in their daily lives, they engage.
What we are facing is the destruction of the economy and our way of life in the next decade or two.
Sir David King, former Chief Scientist to the Government and Head of the Climate Crisis Advisory Group, says:
“We have to move rapidly. What we do, I believe, in the next three to four years will determine the future of humanity”.
This is about the biggest episode of injustice and suffering in human history.
The present generation of adults has to consider the rights of their children and all generations following them.
We must also remember the sacrifices our ancestors made for us in the world wars.
So, inconveniencing people for a couple of hours, is nothing compared with the suffering that climate change and ecological destruction is already causing for many people around the world, and will cause us shortly.

IB is now a national phenomenon. The first wave’s commitment means the ask to new recruits is now much less:
Attend a 1-day NVDA training with a genuine openness to explore if you may be able to sit in the road once, or more, with an incredible team of fellow truth tellers.
💥 I. Can you join us for at least one IB action, or more than one?
These are the upcoming days of action:
> Monday 25th Oct
> Wednesday 27th Oct
> Friday 29th Oct
> Tuesday 2nd Nov
> Thursday 4th Nov
People who want to take part in action should also reserve both the days preceding and following, the action day.
They can get arrested once, or take part in several actions. They’re likely to involve blocking motorways, within and outside of the injunction areas.
They will receive more information about the exact tactics we will use - at a later stage.
If they are interested in joining an action, they will receive a phone call from someone at a later stage.
They will also be invited to the next nonviolent direct action (NVDA) training.
NVDA training normally takes place on Saturdays in London. It’s a full-day training.
No one has to commit to taking action with IB on the spot!

- These help rebels build resilience and resourcefulness to step up and act with love, courage and resolve.
These sessions are very simple and straightforward. They are small-group spaces to ask questions, share feelings, and just talk to each other.
There are short guided meditations, time for reflection, time to feel, not just think.
The trust and courage sessions are facilitated with a kind, friendly and gentle touch. We are all in the process of learning how to be in these unprecedented times!
💥 II. Can you volunteer for IB in a support role?
For any person on the street, we need ten people working away in the background. Anyone’s help is needed!
Here are some of the most urgently needed support roles at the minute:

If people indicate their interest in a support role, they will be called by a volunteer - who will provide them with more information about the role and how to get onboarded.
