Following on from Tuesday’s advertisement for a Farm Director, the Trustees are also inviting expressions of interest for an Agricultural Contractor:

Acton Scott Heritage Farm (formerly Acton Scott Historic Working Farm) is offering a unique opportunity for a contractor to play a leading role in the relaunch and operation of the farm.

The Trustees are inviting Expressions of Interest for an Agricultural Contract as part of the core operation of a renewed visitor attraction. The successful contractor will be at the forefront of the new charity, assisting it with its ambitious mission of demonstrating a working farm through time and raising awareness of the value of historic farming techniques and what they might offer for future generations.

It is expected that the contractor will either be experienced in working Heavy Horses, or be an experienced livestock farmer with an interest in historic and rare breeds. As the contract will cover both these elements it is likely that the successful contractor will need to partner with someone to balance their experience in order to fulfil the contract.

For further details of the applicant requirements and responsibilities and the Expression of Interest process please email [email protected] with your details.

CLOSING DATE FOR SUBMISSION OF EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST: Midnight 31/10/2023
