Mike Reader had time this week to deliver a "Worst Birthday" card to One Angel Square. He should perhaps have used it to explain why his Labour government keeps breaking the promises it made to working people.
Some brass neck from a man whose own party:
* Promised not to raise taxes on working people, then waved through a £25bn jobs tax that's hit every employer in this constituency.
* Promised to stop the small boats. Channel crossings are at record levels.
* Promised to close migrant hotels. West Northants residents are still living alongside three of them.
And Mr Reader continues to defend a Prime Minister who appointed Jeffrey Epstein's self-described "best pal", Peter Mandelson, as the UK's Ambassador to Washington — after security vetting recommended against him and the Foreign Office overruled that decision in 48 hours. Mandelson has since been sacked, arrested by the Met, and the country's most senior diplomat dismissed over the affair.
Little wonder Sir Keir Starmer is now the most unpopular Prime Minister in modern polling history.
Mr Reader can deliver photo ops. Delivering on his manifesto, sadly, is another matter.
