While out and about leafletting again today, I met a loverly gentleman with whom I had a conversation regarding our policies etc.
He brought up the often quoted ‘but if we stop allowing immigration, the NHS won’t be able to cope’.
And as he didn’t know what a pyramid scam and lie this is that’s put about, I thought I’d share the answer to that one.
“The NHS cannot cope! Hire more African/Indian nurses!”, screams the Minister for Health.
And our service users are very happy that the nice African nurse was there to treat them and take the pressure off the NHS.
But that’s simply not the truth.
Depending on what part of the third world you’re coming from, you are usually allowed your spouse and four children to accompany you. Sometimes more if you have them. You can also apply - as many do - for permission to bring in both sets of your parents with you.
So, the total package for that one overseas nurse that you saw was likely a net gain of ten in total, including:
- a partner who statistics show us is unlikely to work once here.
- up to four children taking up places in our schools that their parents have not paid a penny in tax for previously, and won’t have come close to covering by the time they leave education.
- four elderly parents, unlikely to speak English, and unlikely to ever work.
Plus between them all they could then claim up to three council houses on priority access as overseas claimants.
Of these ten people then:
- we gain one nurse paying taxes
- one spouse likely on benefits along with child benefits for the four children.
- four children in schooling being funded by the UK taxpayers.
- four elderly adults on benefits.
And…ta-daaaaaa! Ten new people accessing the NHS on demand whenever they want, increasing the pressure and bringing renewed demands to…employ more overseas nurses!
It’s a self perpetuating pyramid scheme that requires continual feeding from the third world until we presumably all start falling into the sea.
Foreign recruitment into the NHS doesn’t make things better, it makes them exponentially worse and is a massive drain on our benefits, housing and educational systems.
