Parc Taf Bargoed This is the official page for Parc Taf Bargoed. When these mines closed, the site was transformed into a country park.

Parc Taf Bargoed spans over 140 ha of what had been three collieries - Deep Navigation, Taf Merthyr and Trelewis Drift Mines. Now it is home to a variety of flora and wildlife. It has transformed from coal to nature. The park has been awarded Green Flag status in 10 consecutive years.

As my last day approaches of 3 years as the Park Warden at PTB, I’ve had the pleasure of working, meeting, and being supported by so many different people from all walks of life. We’re sure all that attended the session left with a better understanding of CPR and are now more confident in using this vital piece of life saving equipment.
