Avian influenza has been confirmed in wild birds along the river in Stratford.

Here are a few safety precautions for you to follow:

โ–ช๏ธDo NOT touch sick or dead birds.

โ–ช๏ธThoroughly wash your hands in soap and water. Hand sanitiser with at least 60% alcohol can be used as an alternative but is less effective than using soap and water. Stick to footpaths & keep dogs on leads.

The risk to humans is very low, but staying alert keeps everyone safe. Report dead birds to DEFRA on 0345 933 5577.
