Good news at last everyone!!

The Parade Cinema, soon to be Marlborough’s first dedicated cinema for well over forty years has been given the green light by Wiltshire Council’s Planners. Work can restart with a target opening date of Autumn next year.

Councillors at Monday's Planning Committee meeting gave their enthusiastic and unanimous support to the Listed Building Application submitted by Image Cinemas Ltd (Image), developers of Marlborough's new Parade Cinema.

Work is to begin soon on the conversion of the former Congregational Chapel in The Parade into a hundred-and-twenty seat cinema and arts centre. They hope to be showing films in The Parade Cinema by Christmas.

Marlborough Onscreen Events has now finished and we are waiting for the new cinema in The Parade which should be up and running middle of next year.!!
