Your local Councillors will be out and about across the town on Saturday 13 June 2026

🕘 9:00am – 2:00pm
Visit our market stall outside the Town Hall to speak directly with Councillors, raise local concerns, share ideas and ask questions.

🚶 Throughout the morning Councillors will also be walking around the town, identifying and photographing local issues to report to Shropshire Council.

🧹 Community Litter Pick – 1:00pm
Join us outside the Town Hall and help make our town cleaner, greener, and more welcoming for everyone. Everyone welcome, and every helping hand makes a difference.

Together, we can make a positive impact in our community.

Market Drayton Town Council are holding a Planning Meeting at 7.15pm in The Starmer Room at The Parish Rooms, Church Street, Market Drayton followed by a Finance and General Purposes meeting on Thursday 18 June 2026.

Children can create their competition drawings on their own paper, as long as it is no larger than A4 size.

When submitting the drawing, please make sure the following details are included:

🌸 Our Town is Starting to Bloom! 🌸

You may have noticed that the hanging baskets, planters, and mangers are beginning to appear throughout the town centre.

These colourful floral displays are provided by the Town Council to help make our town a brighter, more attractive and welcoming place for residents and visitors alike.

“I was delighted to attend Market Drayton MENCAP’s Strawberry Tea on Saturday.

The MENCAP here in our town are incredibly important, they support people with learning difficulties, improving quality of life, and make society fairer for people with learning disabilities, I’m incredibly impressed by their hard work, dedication and sheer will to make others’ lives better.

It was an afternoon of joy & celebration, and I was honoured to be part of it, thank you”
