✨ Town Centre Road Sweeping ✨

The Town Council are really pleased with the results of the mechanical road sweeper, which has been out today cleaning the Town Centre roads.

We hope you’re as pleased with the results as we are! It’s great to see our Town Centre looking cleaner and fresher.

“It’s been a busy weekend for the Mayor….

On Saturday he visited Market Drayton MENCAP for their Charity Fayre…, it was a great day and there was a wonderful range of craft stalls, the Mayor was even relieved of £10 for a wonderful handmade fluffy hedgehog to give to the Mayoress!!

On Sunday it was the Community Litter Pick, it was a wonderful turnout, the Town Centre, all car parks, down as far as the swimming baths and the Town Park etc…. were all litter picked!
In all, 25 contributed to 39 bags of rubbish, one bicycle and a toilet seat being collected! The Mayor would like to personally thank each and every one that took part to make our wonderful Town sparkle!

On Sunday afternoon the Mayor was invited to visit Market Drayton Methodist Church’s ‘Fairsy Fest’ at the Zone. It was a wonderful afternoon that brought together residents from Fairfield’s and others from Market Drayton with music fun and laughter.

The Mayor is now having a well-earned rest (not!)”

Bring your family, friends and neighbours and join us as we:
🗑️ Pick up litter
🧹 Sweep the pavements

Gloves, bags and litter pickers will be provided — just bring a broom if you have one!

Every hand makes a difference. 🙌

A mechanical sweeper will also be cleaning the town centre areas on Monday 7th September, funded by the Town Council.

Come along, lend a hand and help us keep Market Drayton looking its best! 🌱
